How it all started...
Pompey Community Church had its beginnings in 1948 when two local congregations merged to become Pompey United Church. In 2005, the church separated from the PCUSA synod and formed the independent, non-denominational Pompey Community Church. For many years the church was located on Academy Street in the hamlet of Pompey. In 2009, in order to accommodate for a growing congregation, we completed and moved into a new church facility on the corner of Berwyn Road and Highway 20.
Through the decades, God has blessed PCC with faithful members and leaders. If we have learned anything from our church's history it is that the Lord is faithful.
In January of 2024, PCC called John Andrew Clayton to be the next Lead Pastor. In this season, our desire as a church is to prioritize gathering together, growing together, giving together, and going together in order to magnify the glory of God from CNY to the ends of the earth.
