The purpose of the Deacon Board is to support Pompey Community Church, its ministries, and those who attend. They reflect Christ's love and provide practical care and support by:
Praying for families assigned to their care;
Communicating needs of the church and prayer requests through prayer;
Overseeing and meeting special needs of those attending;
Preparing elements for Communion and assisting with distribution of the elements;
Being Pastor Wendell's assisting eyes and ears; knowing the needs of those attending our church;
Attending monthly meetings; and Assisting with the administration of the Benevolence Fund.
