The Chicken-N-Biscuit Dinner was a HUGE success. We served 400+ friends and family and raised $2,200+ for the Honduras Mission.
We served (and ran out of) Pompey-style comfort food: Real mashed potatoes, tender baking powder biscuits, luscious chicken with legendary-recipe gravy, buttered peas, red-n-retro strawberry Jello, crisp relish tray, crisp apples and gallons of coffee, tea, ice tea and milk AND homemade pies.
Thank you to: Caryl Smith for her leadership each year; Our wonderful kids for their assistance in setting tables, serving beverages, pies, and second helpings, and for clearing dishes; Dozens of adult volunteers who provide their recipes, supplies, time and talents; Local businesses who provide supplies; and Our neighbors and friends who come to share a meal with us
