Pompey Community Church is an independent, evangelical church, incorporated under New York State law, with a board elected by the church members.We study the Bible with a clear understanding that the Living Word satisfies and strengthens believers. Pastor Wendell Pfohl, pictured at right, leads our worship service.
In August 2009, before leaving the old church building on Academy Street, we removed a time capsule that was hidden behind the cornerstone of the fellowship hall and basement addition. Pastor Wendell opened the time capsule at our Building a Legacy worship service and there are plans to create our own time capsule and hide it someplace in our new church home on Berwyn Road.
